Eri's eyes lit up at the mention of some sort of festival as she grinned hapilly, bounding in her seat in excitement, "oh yes! We must go look! Pretty please? I wonder if it is a festival? Gods, I haven't been to a festival since I left home over a year ago!"
Scanning over the menu as John did the same she noticed that they indeed live up to the famous name of Micqueot with their extensive wines and the detailed descriptions of each given. Looking up at John she asked, "do you want to choose a bottle to share?"
Quickly deciding on the special of lamb shanks and mash with a red wine sauce, Eri waited for John as eventually a waiter came over. Ordering what she wished she waited for John to also say his order before she lent her arms against the table top, leaning forward towards her companion.
"So John," Eri said softly with a small smile, "find anything interesting while exploring the town, other than the festival?"

John nodded he wanted to see what was going on, and if anything get a chance to try some free wine or at least unique ones."I wouldn't of mentioned it if I didn't want to check it out myself."
He saw a wine that looked nice, it was quite expensive a bottle was about two hundred beli, but he could afford that easily enough and when Ellie suggested that they share a bottle, he agreed.
In the process John ordered a chicken with red wine and mushrooms, making sure to order the wine to go along with it all before leaning on his elbow on the table and looking at his captain who had lent against the table.
John smirked at her. "I found a nice spot to view the sea and city during the sunset, I'll surprise you with it later on."

Eri pouted as John snarkly back chatted to her! The nerve of him! Eri gave him a weak glare, saying with a slight sulk, "you shouldn't back chat your captain you know? Or you might just get punished!"
Eri saw that John ordered his food and also the wine he wished to try. Eri didn't mind what type, as long as it wasn't too bitter than she was fine. Some reason, bitter wine always made her feel sickly as the taste would linger for long past it should within her mouth no matter how much water or food she would eat. It was weird and wasn't the most pleasant experience.
When John copied her position as she leant against the table, what he said had her eyes lighting up with excitement as she blushed slightly at the notion of the two watching the sunset together...how romantic! Except...well, the two diners were not even together, and if Eri was to assume that John hadn't the slightest intrest in her. Replying as she leant even further forward, closer to John she said, "really? I would love to go see that after we eat! Hopefully we can make it in time for sunset...that means the festival after then?"

John chuckled at his captain's comment, he did have laid back sarcastic tone in his voice most of the time he usually got called on it more often then he should, but that was him and he needn't see the point in changing himself. "Granted it wasn't meant in the way it sounded, I'll trade my punishment for the food and board, hows that sound?"
When he ordered John chose a blacktop reserve Merlot that was described to have rich mouthfuls of plum and damson and creamy layers of oak, it went well with chicken and lamb and it was more a smooth wine with astringency then a bitter wine, John personally didn't like bitter drinks, he couldn't enjoy them
John gently poked Ellie on the nose when she leaned in closer, it was a small motion to add cuteness to a person, he had planned the rest of the evening out more or less, they'd go to the festival enjoy themselves then as the sky hit it's peak of crimson red later on he would show her the view he found. "I was thinking festival first, the sun won't hit it's best angle until another three hours, enough time to have some fun and do some things together."

Eri blushed as John contorted her words to mean a whole entire different meaning as she bit her lip, her face red as she stuttered out, "yo-you know that's not what I meant...and fine, fair trade."
When John had poked her on the nose, her immediate raction was to scrunch up her nose and squeeze her eyes shut, pulling away slightly, cheeks still bright red. Opening her eyes as she pouted at John, she said with a soft giggle, her excitement affecting her mood as she instantly swung out of her small sulk, replying happily, "so food, festival then sunset. OK! Goodness John, you certainly have thought this all out haven't you? I'm so glad that we happened to meet at Baratie a few weeks back, I don't think I can imagine anyone else with me right now!"

He smirked at her, when she made the deal, it ended the banter that may of turned into an argument quickly they only just started sailing together it seemed best to not get on each others bad sides too quick.
John nodded as his captain listed the actions of the night off, he did plan it but only an hour or so ago before reaching the café but then improvising was something you had to do on a ship so it was a good skill to have. "I had time to prepare, and I know what you mean there are many places I'd like to be but this is the number one place."
As the food made it's way onto the table along with the wine, John took the bottle and gently poured it into her wine glass and then into his. "To finding each other."

Eri smiled brightly, chuckling slightly as John just casually stated that he wanted to be there with her. Her, Eri. It made a bright flush appear across her face as she bit her lip nervously. It was a bad habit she had picked up long ago and it was such an obious mannerism for others to know of her feelings.
When the waiter brought round their orders, Eri felt her mouth water as she both smelt and gazed at her plate. Sure, the food they had on the ship wasn't too bad but it was hard to have a proper cooked meal like this and Eri had been craving it since their visit to the Baratie.
When John poured her a glass of wine, she picked it up by the stem, holding it in the air as John toasted before she clinked it softly against his, echoeing, "to finding each other..."
