Bounties
Bounties are measured by the amount of beli the government offer for the capture or death of those branded 'criminals'. For pirates, their rank is determined by the amount of bounty they hold on them. To increase a bounty, all the player has to do is commit a crime with the awareness of marines or a report to the marines. Once the word reaches the ear of an officer ranked marine, they (or staff) may post or update the crimes committed and post an estimated value of beli that goes toward the player's bounty. (Staff are allowed to influence the decision). Pirates may also lose bounty by breaking rules, losing battles or major backstabbing. Captured pirates will then be taken to Enies Lobby to face judgement.
Although it is a marines mission to pursue players with bounties, they are not rewarded for their capture. All other players (not within the Marine of Cipher Pol faction) will be allowed to collect bounties. The factions whom target bounties the most are Bounty Hunters and Baroque Works, as they require bounty capture for their ranks. Players may capture NPC bounties in threads, however they must expect a little reward in beli. Though a bit more is allowed depending on the amount of posts they write in the thread, but there is a minimum of 10. Bounty hunting players who capture players with bounties will be handsomely rewarded more than an NPC, depending on the captured player's bounty.
Slaves
It is possible for any player to be enslaved and sold as a slave to private third parties, where a price is negotiated. Slavery is illegal and will be hunted down by the World Government. Players who enslave may also suffer a bounty increase from marines or Staff. Players will also have to moderate the slave otherwise there is very little to prevent a slave from escaping. it is possible to buy a slave collar which acts as a detonated bomb, though the price is 1,000,000 and is considered very expensive. The player must also have permission from the player they wish to enslave in order to enslave them.
Slavery is tolerable in some underground areas, or official areas such as Sabaody Archipelago. Slaves brought to these areas can be auctioned off for different prices. Players who start as a slave should also start in these auctions unless they start off owned by another player.
